Frances L. Dobson Foster

Clyde – Frances Lucille Dobson Foster, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation.

Frances was a native of Jackson County and the daughter of the late, Clyde and Edna Coggins Dobson; in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Max Foster, who passed away in 2014.  Frances served as a licensed practical nurse for many years at Haywood Regional Medical Center.  She was a gifted seamstress and made many of the clothes her children wore throughout the years.  As a caretaker, Frances naturally was an amazing grandmother.  Some of her fondest memories were spending time with her beloved grand and great grandbabies.

Frances is survived by her three daughters, Jannette Raulerson, of Ridge Manor, Florida, Jeanna Foster, of Maggie Valley, and Karen Wilson, of Clyde; four sons, Michael Dobson, and his wife, Zetta, of Burnsville, Randy Foster, of Dallas, Texas, Richard Foster, and his wife, Chrissy, of Ripley, Mississippi, and Calvin Foster, of Clyde; brother, Frank Dobson, and his wife, Dorothy, of Apopka, Florida; 23 grandchildren and 25 plus, great-grandchildren; and her grand dog, Maybelline.

Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband, Johnny at Green Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews at www.ifcj.org.
