Frances N. Anderson

Waynesville, Frances Nations Anderson, 93, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Autumn Care of Waynesville.

A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Hester Nations.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  Frances worked at McDonald’s and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 28 years.  She loved to travel and especially to New Jersey.  Frances enjoyed attending church and gospel singing.

Frances is survived by her husband of 17 years, Sam Anderson; sister, Shirley Nations, of Sylva; and two brothers, Eugene Nations, and his wife, Linda, of Canton, Georgia and Vance Nations, and his wife, Libby, of Sylva.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Dillsboro with Reverend Tommy Ashe officiating.  Burial will follow at Nation’s Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
