Forrest Clanton

Survived by his wife, Marie, his mother Sylvia Clanton, his father Don Clanton, and sister, Donna C. James along with 3 step-sons, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Forrest was a retired graphic artist and advertiser. He served in the US Army, 101st Airborne and US Army Reserves. He was a dedicated Deacon in his church and regularly volunteered at the Salisbury VA Medical Center and Meals on Wheels.

Forrest was a caring husband and loving son and brother. He was also passionate about restoring things to their former glory.

A private graveside burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1498 Sand Hill Rd, Candler, NC 28715 on Tuesday, April 3rd at 3:00 pm.

A memorial service, to celebrate his life, will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at First Baptist of Spencer, 215 Fifth St. Spencer, NC 28159. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
