Faye Pilkington

Faye P. Pilkington "1918 – 2013" Canton – Faye Passmore Pilkington, age 94, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Spicewood Cottages – Elms. A native of Swain County, she was a daughter of the late Huey Daniel and Lillie Cordelia Mathison Passmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie W. Pilkington, who died in 1988; three sons, Wade, Harold, and Arthur Pilkington; one daughter, Doris Smith; and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Gladys Emerson of Canton; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Harry Worley and Reverend Jack James officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
