Fannie Mae Grooms

Waynesville, Fannie Mae Grooms, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Haywood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Grace Ann Rogers Wright.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wilburn Grooms; two sisters, Helen Bramlett and Margaret McClure; and a brother, Jimmy Wright.  Fannie Mae is a member of the Salvation Army.

Fannie Mae is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John Parris officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
