Eva Fowler

Waynesville - Eva Campbell Fowler, age 79, of Bradford Circle died Monday, June 4, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Buncombe County and had resided in Silver Spring Shores in Ocala, FL. She was the daughter of the late Adelbert and Dell Young Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Allen Fowler, who died in 1988; two brothers and one sister. She retired from American Enka Corporation in 1973 with 20 years of service as a laboratory supervisor and she was a member of Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. Eva was the former Ladies Golf Club Champion of Silver Springs Shores Country Club of Ocala, Fl. She was also a member of Silver Springs Hole-in-One Club and former officer of the Ladies Golf Association. She is survived by three daughters, Donna Rader and her husband, Bob, of Charleston, SC, Debbie Earley of Atlanta, GA, and Sandy Fowler of Clyde; one sister, Francis Moody of Candler; two brothers, Ralph Campbell and his wife, Doris, and Bill Campbell and his wife, Marie, all of Candler; seven grandchildren, Stephanie and Ed Judy, Heath and Cassie Earley, Elissa Brown, and Zachary and Kyla Carroll; four great-grandchildren, Scott Saams, Caden Earley, Logan Bouzek and Noah Brown. She also had a special relationship with her sisters-in-law, Lucille Rathbone, Laura Jean Jones, Mabel Alello, Ruth Hawkins, Joyce Henderson and Doris Hightower. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Mears officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Eva.
