Eunice Palmer

Waynesville, Eunice A. Palmer, age 89, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Harley Vaughn and Magola Caldwell Palmer.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Palmer.  Eunice retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company with 33 years of service.  She was a woman who cherished the Lord.  Eunice was an active member of New Hope Church of God always willing to lend a hand to those in need.  She took great joy in providing meals to her family and friends, leaving a legacy of love and generosity.

Eunice is survived by her brother, Reverend J. Harold Palmer, and his wife, Geretha, of Roxboro; two nieces Patti Ann Maney and Denise Green, and her husband, David; a nephew, Reverend Jeffrey Harold Palmer, and his wife, Niki.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at New Hope Church of God with Reverend Jeffrey Harold Palmer and Reverend Bobby Haney officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2018 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
