Eunice Morrow

Waynesville, Eunice Rose Morrow, age 91, passed away on Monday, November 04, 2019 at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Dewey and Hazel Bonnie Rhodarmer Rose.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Morrow, who passed in 2007; sister, Mary Greene; and two brothers, Johnny and Ernest Rose.  Eunice was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and Nannie.  Her nature was to put others before herself; whether it was caring for siblings when her mother passed at a young age or working tirelessly to provide for her children.  A member of Cove Creek Baptist Church, since 1946.  Eunice was always involved with church activities throughout her life.  She cherished picnics on the Parkway and camping in Cataloochee with her family.  Eunice was also a dedicated employee to Dayco Corporation in the Plastic Hose Department with 34 years of service.

Eunice is survived by a daughter, Joan Marlene Morrow Breece (James), of Valparaiso, Indiana; a son, Dan Morrow (Kate), of Willis, Texas; four grandchildren, Benjamin Morrow (Gabrielle), Michael Morrow (Kashaf), Rose Bak (John) and Janet Breece; and five great-grandchildren, Derrick, Duncan, and Daniel Morrow, Amanda and Haley Bak; two step-brothers, Chuck and Joe Duncan; and one step-sister, Hester Ann James.  The family would also like to thank Nannie’s caregivers for their tremendous help these past four years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville with Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Roscoe Wentworth officiating.  Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Morrow has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
