Ethel Hatherlee

"1929 – 2016" Canton – Ethel Lee Brooks Hatherlee, 86, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center. A native of Lee County, Virginia, she was a daughter of Calloway and Verna Liford Brooks. Ethel was a member of Mt. View Church of God. She is survived by a son, Gresham M. Hatherlee, Jr. of Canton; a sister, Creola Bradburn of Canton; two grandchildren, Deanna Thomas and Vannessa Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Llandra Rhinehart and Araya Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Herman Toney officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
