Waynesville, Ernest Justice, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home.
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Tom Justice and Lelie James Justice Parks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdaline Justice, who died in 2000; his stepfather, Bill Parks; two brothers, Jack Justice and Kenneth Parks; and two sisters, Lizzie Beasley and Doshia Buchanan. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed gardening, fly fishing, and camping at his favorite # 20 campsite at Cataloochee.
Ernest is survived by a daughter, Helen June Milner (Barry) of Clyde; three sons, Charles Ray Justice (Linda) and James Ernest Justice of Waynesville and Gary Lynn Justice of Clyde; five sisters, Irene Hill, Hilda Ewart (Grover) and Grovene Presnell of Waynesville, and Bobbie Covington and Judy Mathews (Harold) of Canton; four brothers, Jerry Parks (Carol) of Thomasville, Jake, Allen and Thomas Justice, of Waynesville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Crabtree Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 prior to services.
