Eric Holcombe

Canton – Eric Brian Holcombe, 48, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of Marquietta Patton Holcombe of Canton.  Eric was preceded in death by a brother, Zachary Holcombe; grandparents, Carroll Holcombe and Jack and Lucille Patton.  He was a former employee of Charlotte Street Exxon in Asheville as a mechanic and in later years worked for Asplundh.  Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the Lord and his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, April Pressley Holcombe; two daughters, Brooke and Leah; one son, Brian Dakota Holcombe (Lauren) and grandson, Wesley Lane Holcombe, of Canton; one brother, Toby Singleton (Danielle); three sisters, Mandy Danielle Wilson, Haley Guy and Ronna Crowder, all of Canton; his mother-in-law, Eva Singleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
