Emma Hall

Canton – Emma Patterson Hall, 82, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her residence.

Emma was a native of Franklin County, North Carolina and a daughter of the late Henry and Genieva Faulkner Patterson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Vincent Hall, Sr., who died in 2015 along with many sisters and brothers.  Emma loved gardening, flowers, raising chickens, reading the Bible, and spending time with her family.  She was also a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynnette Cole (Brooks), of Lexington, North Carolina; three sons, Danny Hall (Jean), Keith Hall (Dedee), and Gerald Vincent Hall, Jr. (Annette), all of Canton; one sister, Sarah Gupton; two brothers, Eugene and Roy Patterson; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Crestview Baptist Church with the Reverend Daniel Page officiating.  Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
