Elvert Fowler

Elvert "Eb" Fowler, age 66, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Connie Elvert and Mollie Thompson Fowler. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Betty Wilkie; one son, Marshall Fowler of Phoenix, AZ; three stepsons, Matthew Moore of Fines Creek, Dallas Hatherlee, Jr. of Brevard, and John Austin Wilkie of Canton; two daughters, Missy Fowler of Phoenix, AZ, Sandra Wilkie of Sylva; one step-daughter, April Hetherington of Fines Creek; two sisters, Geneva Griffin of Candler, and Doris Hickoch of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Jim Fowler of Fines Creek, David Fowler of Candler, and Jimmy Ray Fowler of Morristown, TN; and eleven grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Alan Blanton officiating. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
