Elisabeth Hooper

Charlotte, NC-Elisabeth Bimler Hooper, age 81, of 14121 Arbor Ridge Drive, died peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Rasselwitz, Germany. She lived 22 years of her life in Haywood County and for the last 23 years of her life in Mecklenburg County. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Julia Bimler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Wilfred Leslie Hooper, who died on July 26, 1982 and a brother and a sister. Her family indicated that she would always be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes and her smile. She was one of those people who never met a stranger and lived for her children and her husband. She is survived by one daughter, Claudia Clark of Charlotte; two sons, Wilfred Hooper of Lake Wylie, SC and Gary Hooper and his wife, Patti, of Clayton, NC; and two grandchildren, Stacey Hooper Griffith and her husband, Robert, of High Point and Justin Richard Hooper of Chicago, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend G. W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the services on Sunday. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
