Edwin Donaldson

Candler - Edwin Richard Donaldson, age 86, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Edwin Sterling and Lillian Elizabeth Renke Donaldson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Rosalie Colby Donaldson, who died in 1999. Edwin was a United States Navy veteran and enjoyed woodworking and making rocking horses.

He is survived by two daughters, Patty Bissar and her husband, Jamil, of Austin, Texas and Christine Jones and her husband, Chuck, of Mount Marion, New York; two sons, Jeff Donaldson of Waynesville, and Ricky Donaldson of Candler; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
