Edward Cates

Edward F. Cates, 86, of Candler, NC passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014. He was born in Brenham, TX to the late Grover Cleveland and Annie Mae Lindsey Cates. Ed was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a lifelong Christian and had served during the Korean War as a Marine. He was married to the late Edith Holman Cates for 66 years. They sang Alto and Baritone as part of the Roving Aires Quartet in Mobile, AL for 2 years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Monday, April 14th in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn with Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
