Earl Allison

Earl Howard Allison, 82, of Candler passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Edith Hudgins Allison; a son-in-law; sister, Elizabeth “Lib” Cook and three brothers, Howard Allison, Bobby Allison & Billy Allison

Earl was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was employed as a Carpenter by the City of Asheville for 22 years.  He served in the fire and rescue service in the Black Mountain Community.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret “Peggy” Allison; four daughters, Sheila Allison of Charlotte, Lynette Allison of Charlotte; Loretta Bumgarner (Willie) of Canton and Tammy Scott of Enka; one son, Tony Robertson (Samantha) of Fletcher; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Chad Edwards officiating.

The care of Mr. Allison has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
