Dwayne Vinson Burress, 90, of Waynesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Dwayne was born on October 6, 1936, in Haywood County, North Carolina, to the late Robert and Willie Mae (Watson) Burress.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Dwayne’s honor to the Fullbright Cemetery maintenance fund.

The care of Mr. Burress has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
