Dr. David William Love

Dr. David William Love died on April 4, 2025, after a short stay at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville. He was preceded in death by his son, Cavel Clarke Love.

David is survived by his wife Barbara, son Chris (Callie), daughter Hannah.

David graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1984. He did his residency training at MAHEC family medicine program in Asheville. He practiced family medicine in Waynesville for many years and later was an administrator at Haywood Regional. He was a beloved family doctor known for his compassion and dedication to his patients and his community. His care touched the lives of many.

David loved playing racquetball and experimenting in the kitchen. His love for cooking brought his family together, especially around the holidays. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared with his family.

The care of Mr. Love has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville
