Douglas Moore

Waynesville-Douglas Howard Moore, age 48, of 15 Oak Street, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary Stanley Moore. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Winsell and a brother, Henry Paul Webb. He was manager of McDonalds for 17 years and was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Haney, of Canton; a brother, Kenneth Moore, of Waynesville; and two grandsons, Dalton and Dakota Haney.

Funeral services will be held in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2004 with the Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, and at other times, at the residence. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Moore, Brad and Carl Brulett, Harold Parrott, Aaron Hawkins, and Rusty Clark.
