Douglas Harkins

Canton – Douglas Wayne Harkins, 74, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Doug was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Wayne Edward and Gladys Mildred West Harkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Harkins and brother, Jim Harkins, who died in 2020. Doug was a former employee of the Canton Police Department as well as several auto dealerships in Haywood County as a mechanic.

At Doug’s request no services will be held.

The care of Mr. Harkins has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
