Canton – Doris Parks Trantham, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 02, 2019 at her home.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Eunice Crawford Parks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy S. Trantham, who died in 1993. Doris was a bookkeeper for Belk’s Department Store and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Terry K. (Diana) and Randy D. (Sharon) Trantham, all of Canton; four grandchildren, Tabitha Crawford (Marvin), Elisabeth Trantham, Hannah Trantham and Seth Trantham (Esther); one great-grandchild, Dalton Crawford; and one brother, Kenneth Parks (Barbara) of Waynesville.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dan Page officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
