Doris Plott

Canton – Doris Eugenia Plott, 98, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Flora Kinsland Plott.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Hubert Plott, Annie Plott Ledbetter, Howard Plott, Elizabeth Plott Potts, Frederick Plott, Wayne Plott, Lucy Plott Swofford and Edgar Plott.  Doris was a graduate of Bethel High School, retired from Champion International Papers and was a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road with the Reverend Paul D. Brown officiating.
