Donnie Hoglen

Waynesville, Donnie Hoglen, 71, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019, at his home.

A native of Mitchell County, Donnie was the son of the late Robert and Anna Stafford Hoglen. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Lonnie Hoglen, and two infant siblings.

Donnie was the owner of Hoglen Reconditioning. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he especially enjoyed attending. He also enjoyed mowing his yard, and spending time with his family and loved ones who will greatly miss him.

Left to cherish Donnie’s memory are his wife, Jane Gaddy Hoglen, with whom he shared 55 loving years; a daughter, LeeAnn Knight, and her husband, Jeremy; a son Danny Hoglen, and his wife, Jeanne; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his faithful dog, Booger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Walker, Reverend Allen Rash, and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Trinity Baptist Church.
