Donna Mcelroy

Maggie Valley, Donna Irene Julin McElroy, age 79, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at her residence.

A native of Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Irene Colburn Julin.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Roger McElroy; daughter, Cynthia Mong, and her husband, Steve, of Bradenton, Florida; two sons, Herbert McElroy, and his wife, Charlotte Parsley, of Springville, Alabama, and Joseph Franklyn McElroy, and his wife, Shimon Woodyear McElroy, of New York.  Also surviving Donna are her seven loving grandchildren: Alex Mong, Wesley Mong, Elliette McElroy, Michael McElroy, Ethan McElroy, and Henry and Anya Rose Woodyear McElroy.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 pm at Wells funeral home in Waynesville.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. in the Well’s Chapel.

The care of Mrs. McElroy has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
