Donna Frederick

Vale, North Carolina formerly of Clyde – Donna Faye Apperson Frederick, 81, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

Donna was a native of Shattuck, Oklahoma and a daughter of the late Morris Leland and Jessie Margaret Sizelove Apperson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. “Blue” Frederick, who died in 1995; two brothers, Donald and Jesse Morris Apperson; and a stepson, Carl Glenn Frederick.  Donna was a member of Long’s Chapel United Methodist Church and she belonged to the P.E.O. “Program for Continuing Education scholarship.

She is survived by two sisters, Anise Marie Watson (Vern) and Linda Ashley (David); stepchildren, Claudia Ann Belyeu (Mike) and Mary Faulkner (Steve); Nieces, Jessie Lori Fulkerson (Anita Watson), Vern Watson (Sasha), and Debbie Apperson (Linda); a nephew, Darren Apperson (Tina); two sisters-in-law, Lois Apperson and Beverly Apperson Westberry; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and several great nieces and nephews.

Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 133 Old Clyde Road, Waynesville, NC  28785.

The care of Mrs. Frederick has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
