Donald Moore

Candler - Donald "Don" Eugene Moore, 75, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his residence.

A native of McDowell County, he was a son of the late Walter and Julia Connor Moore. Don loved to make furniture, wooden toys, as well as going fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and was a long-time member at Pole Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Robinson Moore; two daughters, Donnah Cole and husband, Todd, of Old Fort and Shannon Redmon and husband, Trent, of Asheville; and four grandchildren, Michael Cole and wife, Amanda, of Candler, Allie Cole Morris and husband, Tyler, of Johnson City, Tennessee, Chase and Bryson Redmon, both of Asheville.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Dennis Thurman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
