Donald Minnick

Maggie Valley, Donald Minnick, Sr., age 68 died Thursday, October 9, 2008 following a brief illness with cancer at his residence. Mr. Minnick was born in Frederick, Maryland and was a prior resident of Ft. Lauderdale Florida from 1973 until 2006 when he became a part time resident of Maggie Valley. He was the son of the late George Minnick and Pauline Stottlemeyer Minnick. He had a two year associate degree and was the President and Founder of Speedy Concrete Cutting, Inc. He was a retired veteran of the Vietnam War with 23 years service in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Minnick of Lititz, PA; three sons, Donald Minnick, Jr., and his wife, Suzi of Davie, FL, Jeffrey Minnick of Boca Raton, FL and Todd Barna of FT. Lauderdale, FL; one sister, Darlene M. Diaz of Maggie Valley; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a significant partner, Angela Pecorino of Maggie Valley. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
