Donald "Don" Meadows

Donald “Don” Meadows, 83, of Asheville passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at John F. Keever Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Don was the son of the late Bernard James and Cumi Shelton Meadows. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Herschel, Charlie, and Larry Meadows.

He was supervisor of the flooring department with Del tek Homes where he had worked for 33 years. Don loved collecting antique cars. He had a green thumb and could often be found working in his flower bed. Always one to make friends everywhere, he leaves behind many special friends.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeri Worley Meadows; sister, Bonnie Collins; special nephew, Bill Meadows; several other nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Boots.

The family would like to extend thanks to their longtime neighbor, Wade Gillespie for all his kindness.

The care of Mr. Meadows has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
