Dennis Love

Dennis Arnold Love, age 68, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Stone Creek Health and Rehab in Asheville, NC after a long battle with COPD. Dennis was born to the late Donald and Lucille Schipper Love in Wisconsin.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mardell Love, who passed in 2012, and a step-son, Gregg Griffin, who passed in 2013.

Dennis devoted many years as a construction worker and could always be counted on as an overall handyman. He was known for his giving nature and would help any person in need. He loved watching the news and football games on television, and he was a devout fan of the Washington Redskins. Dennis took special interest in caring for and spending time with his granddaughter, Aurora. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Shantell Griffin; a brother-in-law, Donald Peterson; 11 siblings; and 1 granddaughter, Aurora Welch, of Candler.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler with Pastor Andy McDevitt officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Wells Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. An inurnment will take at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.

The care of Mr. Love has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
