DeEtta Kay Eberhardt, 79, of Waynesville, passed away peacefully at her home, with her loving family close by her side, on Sunday, July 5, 2026.  She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on August 13, 1946, to loving parents Orville and Vivian (Justice) Dingledale.  

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date, please check back for those service details and a complete obituary in the coming days.  

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in DeEtta's memory to Bethel House, Blue Ridge Health, or Friends of the Smoky's.  

Mrs. Eberhardt's care has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
