David Wright

Candler, David Arthur Wright, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville.

He was born on December 2, 1945 in Buncombe County and was the youngest son of the late Emmett F. and Merle Anders Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Mickey Wright and two infant brothers.

David worked at WNC Pallet Plant in Candler for 22 years. He was special person. David saw the good in everybody and he trusted everyone. When you saw him, he always had a smile. David attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Candler.

He is survived by one brother, Joseph (Bobbie) Wright of Asheville and two sisters, Alice Plemmons and Joyce (Ralph) Barnes of Candler; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Reverend Eric Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
