Waynesville-David Sigsbee Parton Jr. 75, died Monday, June 23, 2003 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville.
He was a native of Haywood County and son of the late David Sigsbee and Cumi Iowa Rogers Parton . He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict and was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
Surviving are, a daughter, Karen Darlene Townsend of Chester, SC, a son, Timothy David Parton of Waynesville, sisters, Fayola Clercia Webb and Nellie Jean Wilder both of Baltimore, MD, a brother, Thomas Glenn Parton of Baltimore, MD. and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be held on Friday, June 27th at 10:30 a.m. in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells funeral Homes with Elder Al Masiello officiating. Burial will follow at Fine's Creek Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tim, Jimmy, Glenn and Tom Parton.
