David Craig Lynch, 78, of Fleming Island, Florida, passed away peacefully at his second home in Maggie Valley, September 23, 2026, after an extended illness. Born January 22, 1948, to the late Arthur and Isabelle Mocker Lynch.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James.

David was a loving, caring man who never met a stranger. He worked and retired after 30 years of service as an engineer with the Florida Department of Transportation. He loved to build, and Lego was one of his greatest passions. He also had an extensive collection of model trains.

He is survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
