David Curtis

David Lance Curtis, age 61, died on Monday, July 21, 2008 at his residence. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Henry Clyde and Hazel Peterson Curtis. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Conley Curtis, and was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Abernethy and her husband, Billy, of Connelly Springs, NC and Rebecca Bolick of Icard, NC; three brothers, Roger Curtis of Asheville, Dennis Curtis of Tennessee, and Robin Curtis of Swannanoa; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Joshua, and David; one great grandson, Hayden; and best friend, Mary Jean Curtis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
