David Ashe

Sylva, David Wayne Ashe, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his residence.

A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Marshall and Vana Ashe.  David was employed by the NC Department of Transportation Division 14 as an equipment supervisor for 32 ½ years.  He was a member of Old Savannah Baptist Church.

David is survived by the love of his life of 15 years, Lisa Poole; daughter, Amy Willis, and her husband, John; son, Andy Ashe, and his wife, Ashley; step-son, Alan Respress; mother of his children, Pamela Hall Ashe; sister, Susan McCoy (Jerry); three brothers, Randall Ashe (Missie), Gary Ashe (Karen) and Dennis Ashe (Wendy); and six grandchildren, Coco, Harley, Dixie, MaryEllen, Grace and Calvin.

Private family services were held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

The care of Mr. Ashe has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville
