David Allen

David Hugh Allen, age 57, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Betty Justice Allen and the late Hugh T. Allen. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Charity M. Allen of Nashville, TN and Amber Smith of PA; a brother, Jimmy Allen and his wife, Donna, of Clyde; two grandsons, Anthony Patterson and Joseph Singleton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Maple Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
