Dave Bellon, Jr.

Dave Vito Bellon, Jr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Autumn Care in Waynesville, North Carolina.

As a native of the Bronx, New York, Dave was the son of the late Dave Vito Bellon and Anna Ruggiero Bellon.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Jimmy, Peter, and Carl, as well as his two sisters, Ellie and Jean.  An ambitious and hard worker his entire life, Dave created and ran a successful fleet business, Bellon Limousine Service, LLC. for over twenty years in New York City.  Upon his retirement, Dave and his wife Winnie moved to the mountains of North Carolina, where he pursued his love of buying and selling cars, restoring antique automobiles, motorcycling, raising his beloved dogs, caring for his birds and rabbits, as well as being the best Papa possible.  Dave also owned and operated Horsepower Sales and Leasing located on South Main Street in Waynesville.  More important to Dave than his business pursuits, were his loving family and close friends.

Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years, Winifred "Winnie" Bellon, of Waynesville; his daughter, Jeannine Bellon Piliero, and her husband, Jeffrey Piliero, of Boynton Beach, Florida; his son, David A. Bellon, of Flushing, New York; one amazing granddaughter, Ella Rose Piliero; three stepdaughters, Robin, Karen, and Lynn; and Dave’s dearest friends whom he held in high regard, John, Lynn, Ron C. and Ron P.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Wells Events and Reception Center.  The family will receive friends following the service at the Events Center.
