Darrell Hill

Darrell Keith "Kiffer" Hill, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Owen Daniel and Hilda Cagle Hill. Kiffer enjoyed coon hunting and relaxing at Lake Chatuge with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carolyn Sue Burnette Hill; a step-son, Tony Francis and his wife, Vesna, of Canton; one sister, Shirley Smith and her husband, Tommy, of Charlotte; one brother, Roger Hill and his wife, Roberta, of Canton; three grandchildren, Andjelka Mae, Luka Aleksandar, and Milica Sue Francis. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
