Candler - Danny Lemar Morgan, 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at John F. Keever Solace Center.

A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Margaret Amanda Payne Morgan and the late John Roland Morgan. Danny was a United States Army veteran having served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired from Champion International with 46 years of service and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruby King Morgan; a daughter, Sherri Cauley (Bruce) of Candler; a son, Dennis Ray Hall (Sherry) of Candler; one brother, James Robert Morgan (Mary) of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Ridgeway Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 with the Reverend Jack W. Collins and Reverend Billy Dale Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
