Colleen Crawford Williamson, age 73, of Waynesville, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Born on August 14, 1951, in Haywood County, North Carolina, Colleen was the daughter of the late Jack Jefferson Crawford and Reba Juanita Rhodes Clark. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was well known throughout the community for her warmth, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Colleen was the owner and operator of Shear Attitudes, where she worked as a hairdresser for 28 years. She later went on to further her education, earning a master’s degree in business and accounting from Western North Carolina University. Following her graduation, Colleen became the franchise owner and operator of H&R Block in Waynesville, North Carolina, where she continued her commitment to service and excellence within her community.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose family meant everything to her. Colleen was preceded in death by her sons, Mike Trivette, John Williamson, and grandson Seth Riddle.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John Williamson, whom she married in 1971; her daughters, Tina Riddle (Joey) of Canton, Angela Hutchinson of Candler, and Mickey Cochran of Waynesville; and her son, Jeffrey Williamson (Selena) of Maggie Valley.
Also surviving are her brothers, Michael Crawford (Debbie) and Harold Clark (Tina), both of Canton; eight grandchildren, Sarah Trivette, Tyler Trivette, Jacob Riddle (Morgan), Addyson Riddle, Kacee Hutchinson, Elizabeth Finch (Adam), Luke Williamson, and Kendall Williamson; and three great-grandchildren, Ayla Gill, Harmony Riddle, and Aryan Williamson.
Funeral services will be held at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 12:00pm with Pastor James Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home beginning 1 hour prior to the service starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville.
