Clinton Altpater

Maggie Valley, Clinton L. Altpater, age 83, died on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Webster, PA, he had resided in most of his life in Florida and lived in Haywood County for the past ten years. He was the son of the late Clinton and Anna Smalley Altpater. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Altpater. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII. Clinton was a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW, the Masonic Lodge of Donara, PA and a member of the Oasis Shriner's Club. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kass Altpater, and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned.
