Clint Mull

October 19, 1936 — May 30, 2022

Waynesville

Waynesville, Clint Mull, age 85, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at his residence.

A native of Jackson County, he was a son of Charlie and Lela Kilby Mull.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Browning Mull, who died in 1997; sister, Mattie Jackson; two brothers, Joe and Claude Mull; stepbrothers, Lloyd and Doc Mull; and stepsisters, Dorothy McGaha and Nancy Shuler.

Clint retired from Champion International after 34 years.  With his outgoing personality he was many things to many people.  Working hard was his hobby, getting involved and being a go-to person brought him joy, and he generously gave wise counsel.  This avid outdoorsman was skilled at hunting and all types of fishing, fly, lake, and deep sea.  An active member of Grandview Baptist Church, he also proudly served his country in the Army and National Guard.  Clint was a memorable man and his community will surely miss him.

Clint is survived by his two dear daughters, Tracey Mull Ledford and Kim Mull McClure, and her husband, Patrick, all of Waynesville; three sisters, Hermie Piper of Oregon, Gerlene Owens and Edith Valentine, both of Waynesville; two brothers, Mack Mull, and his wife, Donna Faye, of Tennessee and Clyde Mull of Virginia.  Also left to treasure his memory are his four grandchildren, Alex Ledford, Lucas Ledford, Mattison McClure (Emily), and Seth McClure (Alex); and three great-grandchildren, Atlee, Malachi, and Holland.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Grandview Baptist Church with Reverend Barry Willett and Reverend Kevin Valentine officiating.  Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Grandview Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 1562 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.

The care of Mr. Mull has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
