Clara Swanger

Candler – Clara Mae Webb Swanger, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at her home.

A native of Buncombe County, and having lived most of her life there, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Willie Mae Fish Webb.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a son, one sister; and one brother.  Clara worked for Buncombe County Schools for many years in the cafeteria and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Jean King of Canton; one brother, Reeves Webb of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating.

Memorials may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 525 Old 19/23 Hwy, Candler, NC  28715.
