Clyde/Walhalla, Clannie Junior Henline, age 91, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Alfred and Eula Taylor Henline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife’s, Alma Henline and Florence Henline a stepson, Arthur Shelton. Clannie was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, and for the last 20 years attended Rosman Church of God. He retired from Champion International with 39 years of service. Clannie was a master craftsman building clocks, coffee tables, gun and jelly cabinets. He was also a gardener and canned his vegetables. Clannie was a patient, kind and wonderful caretaker. He was a true gentleman.
Clannie is survived by his daughter, Sandra Jones, and her husband, Dan, of Walhalla, South Carolina; stepdaughter, Veronica Borton, and her husband, Glen, of Central, South Carolina; two stepsons, Eugene Shelton, of Asheville and Welch Shelton, and his wife, Patty, of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Lashane Reynolds, Lynette Denver, Lisa Seagers, Sherry Rannavare, Tony Borton and Russell Borton; and 33 great-grandchildren; and a close nephew, Ray Sanford.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Pressley and Reverend Josh Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bon-a-Venture Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until service time at the funeral home.
The care of Mr. Henline has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
