Christopher Rathbone

Canton – Christopher Michael Rathbone, 43, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late James Charles “Bimbo” and Keitha Cope Rathbone.  Chris worked for the Town of Canton for 25 years.  He loved to fish and enjoyed NASCAR racing and football, especially Pisgah Bears and Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Hollie Grogan Rathbone; one son, Sherrill Rathbone of Canton; one brother, Todd Rathbone and Skie Jones of Canton; a nephew, Dalton Rathbone; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, November 14, 2019 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
