Charlotte Conner McClure, 78, of the Erwin Hills Community, passed away after a long battle with illness, on Monday, September 24, 2018. She was born in Churchville, VA to the late Connel Hansford and Pearl Keyser Conner. She loved returning to the Shenandoah Valley, to her it was God's Country. Charlotte's passion was her family - her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her so much joy. A lifelong resident of the Erwin Hills Community, she was loved by all because to know her was to love her. She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joey McClure and brother, David Conner.
She is survived by her husband, Joe McClure; children, David (Denise) McClure, Deborah (Randy) Trantham, and Connie (Laurent) Toscano; siblings, Toby, Billy (Hilda), and Bobby Conner and Peggy (Bobby) Rider; grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) McClure, Jennifer (Cory) Dalton, Savannah (Jo and Jake) Jeremy, and Corey (Samantha) Trantham, Lindsey and Clinton (Jasmine) Roberts; and great grandchildren, Jackson and Reagan Trantham and Blakely and Lucas Dalton.
A Celebration of Life will held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 20th in the Sanctuary of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Appalachian Wildlife Refuge, 42 Stoney Creek Lane, Candler, NC 28715.
