Charles Mcabee, Sr.

Clyde, Charles R. McAbee, Sr., age 58, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of South Carolina, he was a son of the late Rochelle and Geraldine Mathis McAbee.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger McAbee.  Charles enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard and cooking.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rose Conard McAbee; two daughters, Sandra and Penny McAbee; son, Charles Ray McAbee, Jr. and his wife, Tenisha; sister, Sandra Coleman; two brothers, Thomas and Mickey McAbee; and four grandchildren, Tiffany, Caitlyn, Charles Ray, III and Lacy Tay McAbee.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
