Charles Coman

Canton – Charles David Coman, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William Matthew Coman, Sr. and Alta Moore Coman.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William M. Coman, Jr. and Sam Coman.  David retired from Champion International in 2000 with 35 years of service and was a United States Army veteran.  He also served for 30 years in the North Carolina National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Melissa Clark Coman; two sons, Clark David Coman of Canton and David Allen Rhodarmer of Arden; and several nieces and nephews.

To honor David’s request, no service will be held at this time.
