Carther L. Liverman, Jr.

Asheville – Carther Lessel Liverman, Jr. (Bud) 88, went to be with the Lord and surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, November 11, 2018.

A native of Dare County, he was a son of the late Carther Lessel and Louisa Gray Liverman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Everette, Clarence and Charlie Liverman; and three sisters, Esther Rowe, Bertie Fourtner and Marie Liverman.  Bud retired from the North Carolina State Forest Service.  He loved traveling with his wife, the Outer Banks and fishing.  He never met a stranger and will be missed by all. Bud was a United States Air Force veteran and was a member of Emma United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maxine Medford Liverman; one daughter, Robyn Riddle (Michael) of Asheville; a son, Buddy Liverman (Margie) of Asheville; one sister, Retta Swinson of Norfolk, Virginia; two grandchildren, Jimmie Buckner of Dover, Delaware and Morgan Rogers of Marshall; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Rogers.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
